The food was above average in taste The price - very reasonable Ambiance -casual feel Service - they are busy, but approachable.
I used to go to the other dim sum club on van ness before it closed. I talked to the waiter and he said it was a different owner but the same chef here. That works for me. Always satisfied even after a long trip up from LA. Get the pork shumai and sesame chicken. Don't expect anything fancy. Pure Chinese comfort food.
Came here because it was somewhat to ocean beach and it was one of the few places open. Originally planned to go elsewhere but after arriving and it was closed we just walked in here and was pleasantly surprised by great food! We got a table quickly but it was busy inside with lots of families eating together. My mom is very picky with her dim sum but she liked everything we got including the Chicken Feet which she often complains most places are too salty but here it wasn't at all. The food all tasted fresh and made well, the Chinese brocolli was not overly saucy which I personally prefer. At the end of the delicious meal we felt the prices weren't too bad either. Definitely coming back to this place! Just street parking around here. Service was typical of a dim sum spot, maybe a bit more friendly.
Finally tried Dim Sum Club after booking it for years! This place served dim sum all day and the selections were listed on their regular menu. Their dim sum dishes were authentic, tasty, but very pricey. Most dim sum dishes were over $7 for a standard small to medium size. Other dim sum restaurants charges between $4-6 for a small. The inside of the restaurant looked long but crowded between tables. The workers were quick to seat us on the table, but were super slow at taking down our order. The server even missed our selected vermicelli noodle on the back sheet. Did not want to wait any longer since my sister and I, along with my two boys (one infant, one toddler) waited a while for food, so we just ate the seven dim sum dishes we ordered! The siu mai and sticky rice wrapped inside a lotus leaf were better than a lot of dim sum restaurants in the Bay Area! Super flavorful! Their beef noodle rolls were smooth and fresh. My sister normally did not like beef rolls but she enjoyed theirs. I thought their roasted duck dumplings and the roasted duck potstickers were unique, quite good, and reminded us of the ChiuZhou fun gor (a particular dumpling with chopped veggies, nuts, and meat inside). I liked their roasted duck dumplings more than their roasted duck potstickers. The lava bun was fresh and tasted like any other dim sum restaurants. Pork ribs were very good as well, savory but on the sweeter end! Other-all, food was yummy, parking was not bad, but super slow services. Probably would just order their food to go next time, since I did not like flies hanging around while I eat, and the service was too slow to eat out with young children. Notes $1.5/person for tea fee as of Nov 2024
I like how the guys tossed the menu and pen on our table when we came in - Fried shrimp balls: 4/5 best thing there! Freshly fried, light, tasty shrimp inside - Stir fried snow pea leaf with garlic: 4/5 not on the menu but nicely cooked slightly crunchy, much needed greens in this meal (con: we were charged $18 for this) - Spicy pan fried pork soup dumplings- 2/5 eh, good texture but not very flavorful. Not spicy at all - Beef scallion pancake roll: 3.5/5 I just wish it was HOT - Vegetarian dumplings: 2/5 green dumplings looked yummy but just tasted like mysterious vegetables. Tasted very vegetarian. Celery, bell pepper, onion notes - Salt and pepper fried squid: 3.5/5 tasted great right away, but when it cooled realized it was not that flavorful - Pork and shrimp shumai: 3/5 had mushrooms inside too! No taro puffs or truffle shrimp dumplings (the black ones in the pictures)
Very good dimsum joint. When you get a fat shrimp in a bite instead of briny little shrimps, you know you are in a legit dimsum place. Must order: Beef Roll, Porridge, Pan fried Soup Dumpling
Amazing prices for the dim sum here, very affordable and good portion sizes. We got almost 10 dishes if not more and it was almost $100 including tips and taxes. This would've been easily more than that at a different restaurant. Some dishes were a lot bigger than we thought which was a good plus. Some if my favorites were the chicken feet, shrimp rolls and the spare ribs rice rolls. Was not a huge fan of the tripe as I thought it was a little bland. Overall, really liked the food, bit felt a bit neglected, it took a while to pay or to get someone to notice us.

Since it had been a while, the hubby and I decided to order from Dim Sum Club. Not many places have tripe these days, so I'm glad they still offer this dish. Plus, prices are reasonable compared to most dim sum spots in SF. Everything fulfilled my craving. The sui mai was meaty. The ha gow shrimp were plump. The bean curd roll had good flavor. Funny enough, the tripe was the most lacking in taste. Very bland. But I have a million different sauces at home, so nothing a little soy, chili oil, etc, couldn't fix. It is a nice portion tho. I did not take pix from this last order, but I've been eating from here for the last few years. So posting pix of all dishes we got a few years ago. Everything more or less still looks the same.
